The football nations eyes were on Waikaraka Park last week as WPSS graduate Sarpreet Singh and his Wellington Phoenix team mates enjoyed sharing an afternoon with starry eyed WPSS youngsters.
Our esteemed guests were followed to the training base by the New Zealand media with Singh in hot demand.
Timing could not have been any better for the visit as only hours earlier our 19 year old hot shot had been named in the All Whites squad for the very first time.
Singh was joined by his first team mates Alex Rufer (also celebrating national team selection), Andrija Kaludjerovic, Matija Ljujic and Liberato Cacace.
The WPSS players were treated to a mixture of Q and A interaction as well as small sided games getting to rub shoulders with and play football with their A League heroes.
Autographs, photographs and selfies were then the order of the day before WPSS said goodbye to our guests after a highly successful and inspirational afternoon.
